Replacing cartridge (108401BP001)

The HAMA plaster repair gun makes use of 1.5-litre cylindrical cartridges that can be refilled several times. Swapping an old cartridge for a new one is quick and easy, as explained in these instructions.

Step 1

Gather the repair gun and other required materials.

Step 2

Disconnect the air hose from the handle.

Step 3

Unscrew and remove the front union nut (108401PA003), including the spraying section, from the repair gun.

Step 4

Now remove the cartridge (108401BP001) from the repair gun.

Step 5

Take a new cartridge (108401BP001) and fit the supplied O-ring (108401BP003) around the cartridge.

Press the O-ring (108401BP003) firmly against the lip of the cartridge to prevent any air leakage.

Step 6

Lightly spray the inside of the cartridge with silicone spray (108401BP032).

Step 7

Now take the piston (108401BP031 or 108401BP002) and place it with the closed side face up on a work surface and then press the cartridge down onto the piston.

Ensure that the underside of the piston is flush with the underside of the cartridge.

Step 8

The cartridge can now be filled manually or with the HAMA plastering machine.
Then place the complete cartridge in the repair gun.

Step 9

Apply silicone spray (108401BP032) to the repair gun's screw threads, where the black union nut is attached.

Fit the black union nut (108401PA003), including the spray section, on the repair gun.

Step 10

The repair gun GR1500 is now ready for use.
